Summer Academy 2014: Registration is Now Open

Link to Register Online:

This year our program includes over 80 practical courses being delivered across the province by experienced and dynamic presenters. All courses have been planned to meet your professional needs. Sixty additional courses have been designed this year which focus on math and technology to support teacher knowledge and provide new strategies for engaging students in their learning. Funding has been provided by the Ministry of Education for these extra courses for this year only.

A wide range of other courses are also available with a focus on the arts, assessment, literacy, kindergarten, special education and a variety of other learning areas. The registration fee includes three full days of learning, collaborating and networking with colleagues. The course fee provides you with lunch on site each day as well as a variety of useful handouts to support your planning for the fall. Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis. Check out the website as soon as possible and choose a course or two designed just for you. Share the website with your friends and colleagues. Courses will fill up very quickly! We look forward to another engaging and inspiring summer of professional learning with our members this July and August.

The Waterloo Region Occasional Teachers’ Local will be hosting “Making Technology Work For You As An Occasional Teacher” July 8th-10th
